Video Game Talk section Quick Jump menu

I am not sure if this has been brought up before, I think it has, but I tied to look through past threads and did not see one.

In the Video Game Talk area, the forum jump menu in the upper left corner does not show all the forum areas like it does for every other area. What's even more strange is that in the lower right jump menu in the Video Game talk area, that menu is correct and shows all the forum areas.

Sorry if the way I wrote that is confusing.

I'm confused (but that happens easily with me you know).

Are we talking about this:

or this:

Because I'm not seeing what's wrong?

In the far upper left, the dropdown right under the Release List link. If I recall, the explanation before was that it had to be manually created in VGT for some reason, while it's automatic everywhere else.

Yes.. Sorry for any confusion. I should have used images to explain it better.

Upper right Drop-Down Menu in Video Game Talk section

What I've never understood about the quick nav bar is the random placement of "Anime Talk" in the Entertainment Discussion section.

You have:
Book Talk
Movie Talk
Music Talk
Anime Talk
TV talk
Video Game Talk

It's all in alphabetical order except for Anime. One of those tiny things that has always bugged me since it's been added.

Because the Nav Bar is not alphabetical. It's in the same order as the forum layout:

 You don't say?

Anime was added much later so why was it tossed in the middle in the first place? That's what I'm getting at. Seems totally random.

We were going to do it alphabetically and at the last second I said, "No! Wait. If we put it in the middle, it may really bug some OCD people."

I posted this back in my old BluRay change request thread in Novemeber. I assume it is still true.

It seems the software needs an update from more than one place to fix all the drop down menus.

So far the main dvdtalk.com page and the video game forum and the subforum of it do not show the new list.

Also if you click thru to the Blu-Ray that shows on the top of the main page it brings you to a review page and that forum list also does not have the new forum drop down listing.

I assume at some point they will try to change the other places that are wrong to make the drop down lists uniform.

I just checked. The main page drop down menu did get fixed.

When you click the BluRay on the top of the main page it brings you to a page where the drop down menu is still wrong.

Obviously based on this request the Video Game forums and subforums are still wrong.

I'll ask IBobi to look at this but he won't see my message for a couple of days.

Tech is on it.

FYI these menus do not update globally by themselves; it's all manual, so occasionally the webmaster misses some.

It looks like this has been resolved... Thanks to whoever looked at it and got it done. I know it was a minor issue, but it was one that was annoying when I was at the top of the Video Game Talk section and wanted to go to another forum.
