Search function sucks
 

Wanted to go back and read the old Breaking Bad threads since I just started watching the series, but according to the search there is not a single thread with Breaking Bad in the thread title in the TV forum. And the ONLY thread in the entire forum with it in the title is one about Seasons 1 & 2 being on sale.

Search index seems to still be broken. Wanted to find the Hawaii Five-O threads in the TV Talk forum, and a search for "Hawaii" in the thread title came up with 0 threads.

Yeah, had a similar problem just searching for Wolverine.

Same problem here. Searching for "breaking" (Breaking Bad), "theory" (Big Bang Theory), or "suburgatory", all of which have the titles of the show in the thread titles, return zero results. Very frustrating when trying to catch up on old threads.

I don't recall having problems with the search function until today. Just looked for something that should have pulled up the result with no problem. Instead, it came back with nothing.

I've never had problems with it until recently. I used to be able to search for Breaking Bad just fine. I did it a lot when I got caught up on the whole series this summer. It's only in the last month or two I've noticed issues.

Yeah, I used to be able to use the Advanced Search and find what I was looking for all the time by specifying the forum to look in. Hasn't been a problem until recently for me either.

I found that if I type in "breaking bad" (with quotes), it works a bit better.

So, you know, there's that.

Normally IBobi would have joined the thread to announce the fix but I believe that he was out of the office during this period so it all took place "behind the scenes".

New search is in place. Should be more robust and accurate. Let us know if there are further issues!
