Pages won't load in Firefox
Anyone having this issue? At the bottom of the page it just says "waiting for doubleclick.net", "optimizing" and "readpixel". Moving to fast to see exactly what.
Isn't happening in IE. |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
^Yep, I had the same problem. It took several minutes for the forum to load. Once I was able to log in, the problem seems to have gone away.

Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Same problem in Safari for Mac. The forum pages load but the main page and the reviews never complete.
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Can you tell me if this is still happening, and what browser/version you are using, and which page(s) you are trying to view?
I'm not having trouble loading anything at all in FF 8. |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
In Firefox, if I turn off ad-blocker, and log out, I cannot get the forum pages to load. The top bit with the reviews info shows up but it stops after that.
Turning on ad-blocker there are no problems. Something is problematic with your ads. |

UPDATE:
We disabled the offending ads until they can be brought to standard; problem should be gone now. Please report if this is still happening, and thanks for your info and vigilance! Happy new year all, Paul |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
still problem again :(
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
I can zip right through the site with FF. Chrome, however, is a consistent offender (same ad) while IE is touch and go
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Same problem here with the latest version of Firefox but running fine on IE. .....doubleklick.net is trying to load or whatever it's doing.
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
The site has reached an all time low for me trying to use Chrome. I'm having to post this through Safari, because every page I try to load in Chrome is slow or freezes up. I can't even read the reviews without it causing trouble.

Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Yep, same problem. It did seem fixed when benedict quoted the IB message.
Today it's back to a problem. |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
I've had similar behavior all day today as described by others in both Chrome 16.0.912.63 m and Firefox 9.0.1. Pages won't load fully and get hung up trying to contact ad.doubleclick.net. Seems to work OK in IE9 at the moment.
I'm posting this from Chrome with JavaScript turned off, which sidesteps the problem. |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Been having this problem as well during the day on my work computer. Pretty sure I have the latest version of FF, and IE was choking too (although I don't know which version it is). Didn't happen all day, but most of it.
You guys are making me productive, something needs to be done soon or I may get a promotion! |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Is this problem still being worked on?
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
We are still looking into this, and the possibility that an ad network is causing the load hangs.
Stay tuned and thanks for your patience, Paul |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
We have disabled an ad that we believe is contributing to the problem; please report if you are still experiencing this issue.
Thank you, Paul |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Hi Paul,
Still having a problem with Safari on 1/8. |
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Still having the problem on Firefox.
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
I'll keep tech at it.
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
I haven't had any issues with Firefox / DVDtalk. I'm using version 9.0.1, the latest version.
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Chrome for Mac has been working perfectly now for me.
|
Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
FF still giving me problems. What I would have to do is, after clicking the link I would open the same link into a new tab and then close the other one after which the page will immediately load. Happens time and again without fail (and this is on two different computers).

Re: Pages won't load in Firefox
Thank you -- I've added that info to the tech link on this issue.
