Sub-forum Name Change Request: HD Talk to Blu-ray Talk
 

Just wondering why we shouldn't change the HD Talk sub-forum name to something more accurate.

We never talk about anything but BD in that forum -- and the majority of HDTV discussion takes place in the TV Talk sub-forum. Plus we always seem to have newbs start BD posts in DVD Talk.

Come on IB this should all be about boosting your SEO stats.

I've seen tv talk in there, plus when a new HD format comes out(streaming or physical format), you don't have to change the forum name back to something generic to include the other formats.

At least that's just my take on it.

Although this is do-able, IB commented that, in addition to the above, changing the name changes the URLs and, in spite of endeavouring to include a bulk re-direct, a lot of links could be broken i.e. via Google and elsewhere.

I haven't visited that form for a while since I took my entertainment center down a couple years ago when we moved. But when we get a bigger place and I start buying again, it would be pretty stupid to have to go to the "Blu-ray" forum to find deals for HD-DVDs that I want.

I think at least the order of HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc could be switched in the description.
