I had a post in Video Game Talk earlier that has been deleted. Not locked, not moved, but deleted entirely. Also, my signature has been altered.

I just want to know what rules were broken so I don't make the same mistake again. I didn't see anything in the FAQ that said the thread couldn't be created. And my signature didn't contain affiliate links or links to commercial sites of any kind, rules I don't even see in the FAQ but instead are simply common knowledge around here.

Not fighting, not trying to start a fight... just would at least like the courtesy of an explanation?

You were discussing whether it was proper to advertise your site with at least one mod. You were told that you would hear when we got an answer from IB. You couldn't wait and took it upon youself to advertise that site, not just in your signature, but also by starting a thread advertising your site.

You will find out what IB decides when we do. Until then you shouldn't be advertising your site here.
