Facebook linking to reviews not working.
 

Normally, when I throw a link to my reviews on Facebook I get an option to select a thumbnail image of the cover.

I tried to throw up my most recent reviews and both no longer show images.

I've tried posting the links using Safari and Firefox, neither work.

I noticed that the other day, but I haven't changed anything on this end. It's either something wonky Facebook is doing or some new ad code/HTML in the templates is giving Facebook a tough time. They're still able to pull in the preview text in the review place, so I'm guessing it's a Facebook problem.

OK. I sent in a bug report to Facebook; the chances of them doing anything about it are likely slim to none. I'm sure Farmville and further regressions in front page design are much higher priorities to them.

I think this is more of a Facebook issue. I had a solution for this someplace, and will post it when I find it.

Yeah it's Facebook. I usually link my blogs there and it grabs my image. No longer.

I tried the <font face="Courier" style="color:#0000cc">&lt;link rel="image_src" href="[image URL]"/&gt;</font> meta-tag trick too, and Facebook still wouldn't pull in the cover. :-/

Sometimes I notice it takes a day or two after a page has been created to actually get a thumbnail to show up.

Example if I am not clear. I can upload a YouTube video, have it be complete, and if I try and link to it, it gives me a generic youtube link, no thumbnail or description. If I wait a day or two, it works fine...It may just be something weird that it needs to be there for a little while...

hey guys!

I was wondering if there were any facebook fanatics amongst you ,who would like to become an admin on our Facebook page and help spruce up the page a bit. I'd like to see the page grow into something a bit more like the HDD page http://www.facebook.com/highdefdigest

This is on my list of things to do, but I am so slammed right now with other projects that this keeps dropping off my list..
