Letter to Mods

I recently have been singled out rather viciously by this mod 2 times.

Mod note: we usually don't like it for people to simply post stories without comment, especially as the first post in a thread. Is there a reason you posted this? If so, we'd like to know it.
This person should be removed as a mod, plain and simple.

His problem is personal and discriminatory based on my views and him not knowing who I am.

This has happened twice. In the Adult Film actress thread and in the Obama language thread. Both are serious threads.

Delete this thread at your convenience. Thank you.

Re: Letter to Mods

I'll say that there's a lot of good debates on this forum, and the moderators do a very good, impartial job of keeping things relatively civil and non- personal.

I still haven't the faintest idea as to what your "Obama and Romance English" thread was supposed to be about, and I thought the mod's response to that was actually rather polite and restrained.

Which ever mod did that deserves a pat on the back, plain and simple.

I can't believe you quote this as evidence of the mod being "vicious."

Re: Letter to Mods

Maybe you want to explain that Obama thread since nobody understands what you were trying to accomplish and say?

I reported the post because it didn't belong in the political forum, then I saw he was talking about wenders, thus I thought I should post a comment. Wenders and I don't agree all the time, but there is not a more fair mod around here. His posts/opinions are well thought out, and he is quite consistent in applying is mod powers/comments in a equal fashion. His comments to the original thread poster are typical and appreciated in keeping this section of dvdtalk to a level that is bearable for me to read. Thank you Wenders for all that you do.

You may want to read the thread "PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING in the Political Forum" where you will find this nugget...

- Similarly though just posting an article and link, particularly as the first post in a thread, w/o any additional commentary to continue the dialog is discouraged. If it's good enough to post it's worth commenting on as well.
After reading that thread, you may come back to this thread and apologize. The mods were merely following the rules that they have enforced many times before.

Sometimes I feel like this must be a Mod's life in Politics Talk...

Re: Letter to Mods

I clicked on that "Obama" thread and was as mystified as everyone else as to what it was supposed to be about or what the OP's "views" were. Maybe why nobody responded.

Of course wendersfan did precisely the right thing as that thread made no sense.

I think this thread should be left open, at least for awhile, so the OP can maybe learn something.

Edit: I nominate wendersfan for Mod of the Month.

I am the only one on this site whose opinion is truly valid, so the best course is to get in step with my beliefs, or get moving.

Re: Letter to Mods

you posted "Obama English as Romance Language It is romance english"

I don't think anyone here had the first clue what you were trying to convey, and the fact that you were somehow insulted enough to demand wenders' removal (and I doubt he was the mod in both of these incidents) without actually bothering to clarify your original statement is even more mind boggling.

Anyone who's read the rules of the Politics forum would know this. Calling for a mod's removal for pointing out the rule is ludicrous.

Now with that said, this thread is moving to where it belongs, the Feedback Forum.

Actually I was. I think the fact that I barely even remembered the first incident, let alone the OP involved, must be seen as incontrovertible proof that I have singled out the OP.

Ah-ha! That's exactly what I'd expect someone with a viscous and targeted campaign of terror and abuse against an innocent member to say. Barely remembered my ass!
