So, I thought that if the pic was on Amazon, then it could be posted here?

Well, I posted a picture that I got directly from Amazon.com (image was hotlinked), and apparently, it was deleted. I believe the picture was posted either right before or right after this post:

For some reason, i thought i saw somewhere that so long as it's on Amazon then you can post it here, but I guess that's not the case anymore? Can the mods or admins clarify on this?

Probably the same reason the breast reduction thread got locked. Because the rules make no sense.

If it's on Amazon it can appear as a cover for a review on the top of a page. Nothing has been said about it being allowed in a thread.

Instead of paying for Premium Memberships everybody should have chipped in to buy the site back from IB, that way we could cut all the bullshit. This is ridiculous.

I also thought anything from Amazon.com was fair game. Seems weird to allow pictures on the menu page (where it can surprise people) but not in the random picture thread themselves (where people click to see pictures).

I don't understand this picture ban, but "instead of paying" and "everybody"?

X has already made the distinction. To this I would only quote the following from a previous IB post:

DVDTalk is quite work safe, however, it is impossible to make this 100% "family friendly" since the site is not really garnered towards families, but towards movie enthusiasts.

If the "links" part is being so much of an issue, we will remove that word from there.

Edit: And when I say adult content, I specifically mean porn.

Thanks X and benedict for the clarification. I guess somehow I had the wrong understanding regarding Amazon pics.
