Question - How do turn off avatars?
 

I was told that you can turn this off for free? How do you do it? Now that a lot more people with avatars, it's getting annoying... Prior to that, i only remember three avatars, X's ant, L&O's weirdo Mii and the Anchorman... And now, i can't get the Zombie's image out of my head. If i don't do this, tons of kitten avatars gonna flood the site, help me!

Go to the User CP on the top left bar and it will be under Edit Options.

Kittens? I know I asked for more ***** in this forum, but this is ridiculous!!!

Add everyone with an avatar to your Ignore List.

OMG, after all those years, i didn't even know there's a tab called USER CP :eek:

a lot of goodies there... i added the panic button as well (i got into trouble a number of times).

LOL, that's pretty funny... actually, i was about to...

I thought that was a pay privilege! I got hosed.

Uhmmm, check out the Announcement that's sticky'd at the top of the Feedback page.

Yes. I think people are still able to see the shiny icons beside our usernames.

No that's your avatar. It shows up but you can't see it because you've turned avatars off. But I can see it.

I almost hate to give IB the idea, but if they required $20 to turn off avatars they might have made more money. I didn't mind them at first, but the recent outbreak of 'em convinced me to turn them off.

That's one of the main things I always appreciated about this forum. Finally had to break down and turn them off though, cause nothing makes a forum look cheap to me like avatars do.

When is James Cameron going to post his avatar?

I like the fact that they're limiting the size and not allowing graphics in sigs. I've been on several forums and pics in sigs are the worse because they're HUGE and reminds me of some ad.

We promised that we wouldn't remove any features from existing users, and the ability to turn off avatars was an existing feature.
