Question - How do turn off avatars?

I was told that you can turn this off for free? How do you do it? Now that a lot more people with avatars, it's getting annoying... Prior to that, i only remember three avatars, X's ant, L&O's weirdo Mii and the Anchorman... And now, i can't get the Zombie's image out of my head. If i don't do this, tons of kitten avatars gonna flood the site, help me!

Go to the User CP on the top left bar and it will be under Edit Options.

Add everyone with an avatar to your Ignore List.

OMG, after all those years, i didn't even know there's a tab called USER CP

a lot of goodies there... i added the panic button as well (i got into trouble a number of times).

Yes. I think people are still able to see the shiny icons beside our usernames.
