kill the vegas forum?
there have been posts in 6 threads in the last month. The majority of posts are in 2 threads, one which could belong in tvtalk. Why not just ax the forum?

There's a Vegas forum?

What benefit would there be to axing it?

I would say a lot of people have asked for subforums in the past that would have as much traffic as the Poker/Vegas forum and have been denied. In that case, there wouldn't be any reason to deny those requests.

I am all for subforums anyway. Even if there isnt much traffic. Anything to keep the forums less cluttered is fine by me.

I don't there is so much traffic on this sight that people need to worry about clutter. However this subforum really suffered when online poker was banned.

I'd like roquer to post all the ways that the Vegas forum has ruined his dvdtalk experience. Either that, or confess to being a party pooper and attempting to ruin others' experiences here for no reason whatsoever.

I don't know, I can see some other valid reasons as to why it would be useful to just dissolve it. For instance, if someone wants to post a thread asking for recommendations for Vegas, posting it in Other would probably get a ton of more responses then it would in the sub forum that very few visit.

I only pop in before/after I went to Vegas, but there's a wealth of info in there (though a lot of it is way out of date).
I like to think that DVDTalk considered having more subforums and added Vegas/Book Talk, and then figure out there really wasn't that much interest in either.
Not that there's a vote around here, but I vote to keep it.

The main reason the Poker/Vegas forum has been a little slow in recent months probably has to do with the fact that the overall economy is pretty shitty at the moment. Gambling tends to take a back seat during economic downturns. Poker in general has slowed in popularity with joe six pack as well. We will recover... eventually.
I say keep it...

I'm not trying to ruin anybodies experience. I just don't think the forum has the critical mass to justify its continued existence. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the active topics found fresh interest if they were moved to tv/other. Perhaps the wealth of information in the forum can be archived.
