I Love The Work On The Image Button
Excellent work there whoever did it.
That is the best implementation of that function I've seen on a VBulletin site. 'click-ctrl+v-click'. Excellent. |
I'm not seeing anything different.
|
Hmmm...
You using Firefox 3? |
version 2.0.0.16
|
what image button are we talkng about?

http://images.dvdtalk.com/images/editor/insertimage.gif It's the button you use to post images if you don't just type out the image tags yourself. Now the button simply types out the opening tag with one click [ img] (no space), then you ctrl+v the link to the image, then you click the image button again and it types out the close tag [ /img] (no space). I really like that functionality. Most of the time, including here until a few days ago, the image button would pop up a dialogue box that you posted the image link into, then clicked ok, the the image URL surrounded by the tags was posted. |
I'm pretty sure that's the way it's always been, doubt anyone from IB took the time or effort to do that, and I think that's the default way vBulletin does it.

I did it.

Pretty sure that has been around since the button has been there, just like the hyperlink button. |
No wonder I was confused. I thought something changed. That button has been there a long time.
|
That button has been there for at least a year or two.

The functionality has changed, meaning - what happens when you click the button. I've already changed the functionality on another forum I'm on to be the same as it is here. |
It's working the same way it has always worked for me.
Click image button, control-v, hit enter (or click). |

Click image button, control-v, hit enter (or click). Am I on dope?!?! http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...e06/mrhand.jpg  It changed it's functionality for me here in the last week, maybe it's the last update to Firefox 3 or one of the updates to an add on that effects the way scripts run on a page. That's possible I guess. There has been no change at all on the other 8 or so VBulletin forums I post on so I kind of doubt it. But who knows. |
It's still popping up the dialogue box for me. I'm not exactly clear how the functionality you're describing is any better.
|
I still get a box too. On FF3.
Tried it on IE7 and it does the same. |
So I'm the only one with the tricked out functionality?
I rule!!! |

I rule!!! If you look at the next line after the Image selection picture, you will see a choice of Guided Mode or Enhanced Mode. Clicking on the Image button in Guided Mode causes this: http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...guidedmode.jpg Clicking on the Image button in Enhanced Mode causes this: http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...hancedmode.jpg |

I kinda suck after all... I'm in enhanced mode. Good stuff Mr Music. Can I just go ahead an do a "Nevermind" on this whole thread then? http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...ly_Litella.jpg |
I thought you would appreciate the feature, so I accessed your machine via remote access and turned on Enhanced mode for you. After John Slider built it.
|
^What he said. Guided and Advanced mode. Advance Mode puts the code in the post. Guided Mode pops up a cute little window thingie mabob maboob.
