how do you resize an image
If I post a picture using [img]...[/img]
How do I resize it so it is not so big? |
You can use the actual html img tags instead of the BBCode ones.
Default: "<"img src=http://images.dvdtalk.com/images/buttons/reply.gif /">" (without the quotes) <img src=http://images.dvdtalk.com/images/buttons/reply.gif /> 200px Height/Width: "<"img src=http://images.dvdtalk.com/images/buttons/reply.gif height=200 width=200 /">" (without the quotes) <img src=http://images.dvdtalk.com/images/buttons/reply.gif height=200 width=200 /> |
Thank you pinata242 worked like a charm :)

That's a nice tip.
|
<img src="http://images.dvdtalk.com/images/smilies/smile.gif" height=350 width=50 align=right />I suggest that you upload the image to imageshack and resize it there. It has the added benefit that it won't be changed to something unpleasant by an unhappy webmaster.

or download and use irfanview and then there's many, simple resizing options. it's free and a pretty useful tool
|
Both www.tinypic.com and www.imageshack.com offer many different sizing options when you host your picture with them. Both sites are free and don't require logging in or signing up for anything.

I use Microsoft Image Resizer. All you do is right click on a picture, and resize it.

Yes. Netiquette dictates you resize the image itself before posing it. Using the height/width attributes of the img tag just does a quick-and-dirty resize in the browser. The entire image still has to be downloaded.
