dvd talk contests

I wonder why so far behind with the picking of the contest winners. winners have yet to picked for contests that ended over a month ago. not complaining or anything, just curious. Is it that the studios never shipped the dvds?

i heard you have to be a mod to win :hscratch:

They're behind? That must be why I haven't received a winners notification...in seven freaking years!

I plan on pulling winners for all outstanding giveaways on monday. With the launch of XCritic.com we got a little behind.

I’m just sad that Canadian’s can’t enter these contests.

Continental discrimination!

Don't know what you're referring to:

Under the rules for the contests:
"You must live in the United States or Canada."

The only ones which are US only are the Adult ones and that's because Canadian customs is known to seize adult DVDs that they feel don't meet Canada's obscenity rules (which seem to be random and arbitrary like the US's)

just an update. I had planned to pull the winners to all the back contests today but this got delayed due to the malware issue which took 3 full days to resolve.

Oh, oops! Sorry! For some reason I thought Canadians couldn’t enter the contests. Goodie, now I can enter!

Yeah, the Canadian Obscenity Rules are random and a lot of the time doesn’t make sense whatsoever. They let some stuff in that I didn’t think they’d ever let by, other times they didn’t let by stuff that I thought they’d let by with no problems.

OK winners have all been pulled. Phew what a monster task to pack all those DVDs.

Well I think I won the Caligula dvd but I haven't heard from anyone via e-mail. My name is Robert Reilly but I'm sure there could be many people on here with the same name. You should post the screenames or the cities with the name too.

It's probably not you. There is nothing high class about Caligula -ptth-
