Fwiw, it was only down for about 12 hours for me. I usually never go more than 15 minutes without at least one notification. Perhaps it was a yahoo glitch.

Not working well the last few days.

I get emails but they seem to be delayed by days.

I was starting to wonder if I was the only one getting email delays. I have been having the problem for over a week now. Initially I was getting emails about 8 to 10 hours after a post. Now it seems the emails are getting slower and fewer.

Re: Email notification not working

There is a delay in email notifications due to an email server issue. Tech is working to resolve it as soon as possible.

Mine are coming in with about a 12 hour delay today.

Issue appears to be internal and related to a particular email host -- working to resolve!

Seems like I'm getting the email notifications. Have not noticed any problems or delays.

I got one for this. Haven't had an issue. Sure you didn't accidentally hit cancel all on that link in an email?

That has been my biggest fear for years now. I'm serious. Surely it requires a confirmation though?

But I don't think I did. Subscribed threads still show on my user CP page.

Trevor, I checked your account and the category "Automatic Thread Subscription Mode" is set to Instant email notification. I would check your spam. One of my emails is a yahoo account and yahoo likes to throw some notifications into spam randomly sometimes. I tell it not spam and it's ok for a while, but then it changes it's mind again.

Wow, there it was. Thanks Vin. Odd though, I've used yahoo mail for decades and have never had their spam filters mass dump all my dvdtalk mail there.

i don't think the iOS mail client has a 'not spam' button. I'll have to turn on my PC for a change.

I'm not getting emails for most of my subscriptions now. Just recently started happening. They're all "Instant", and they aren't being sent to my spam folder. Worked like a champ a a week ago.

Did you recently change your email addy?

Also, if you are using yahoo or AOL they will sometimes block out emails...

Could be DNS server issue on your domain

Email from other sources is being delivered normally. Now I'm seeing only a subset of updates from DVD Talk. Some threads deliver notices, some don't, and there's no clear pattern.

The email notice for this post of yours just arrived, some 22 hours after it was posted. That's not a DNS problem.

Tech says gmail tests check out and our mail server is sending regular notifications.

You have been sent test emails. Do you have them?

Keep in mind there are about 100 places between our mail server and your eyes where email can slow or disappear, and it's not always going to be possible to find out why.

I recommend you switch to a gmail address and see what happens.
