Help on Private Messaging

Hi, I am new, as a poster here. I tried to PM a moderator regarding some question, but I received the message that either I don't have enough privilege to do so or that my account is not activated. I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue. Thank you.

PM's aren't activated for anyone. Use the email system if you need to contact a mod.

Can we make a sticky in bold letters PRIVATE MESSAGING IS DISABLED!! That way there isn't a thread about it once a week?
