What you should know about this forum...

...from the forum rules:

DVD Talk is a private membership organization, NOT a public forum. Membership to DVD Talk is predicated on your ADHERENCE to the rules and policies detailed below. Failure to abide by these rules will result in the closure of your forum account and an end to your Membership on the site. DVD Talk Membership is not free, the membership fee (which is thirty dollars per year) is paid on your behalf by the advertisers on this site. As such you agree not to use any ad blocking or suppression software or be liable for your membership fee.
Now let's assume there are at least a thousand registered members in this forum. If that were the case, Geoff would need to be pulling in $30,000 per year in ad revenue to cover all our "membership fees". I'm sure both of the figures stated above are way off, and I'd really like to know what the actual figures are. Chances are there's nowhere near enough ad revenue coming in to cover every registered member's imaginary $30 per year "membership fee", and the member list has conveniently been disabled, so we can't see exactly how many people are here.

This is the same kind of bullshit used by strip clubs to stay open and for their strippers to be completely nude, "This isn't a business, it's a private club." Yeah, right.

Well, I've taken all I can handle, so I'm out the fucking door. Think real hard before you decide it's worth staying.

'bye all!

Don't hurt the shiny disc's they did nothing to you.

Fincher Fan 03-10-07 02:43 AM

See ya.

The Cow 03-10-07 03:17 AM

I like it here. I'll stay.

Can't say I'll miss you.

I'm tired and I know it's early in the morning, but I don't even understand what you're upset about? :hscratch:

NatrlBornThrllr 03-10-07 06:00 AM

You don't matter.

FantasticVSDoom 03-10-07 06:17 AM

Um, yeah ok... Why do some people get so upset over shit on a FREE (for you, me, and anyone else who wants to join) message board?

speedyray 03-10-07 06:26 AM

Mike is always pissed about something. Like I have said before, you just need to chill. If you want to leave so be it. We survived before you came and we will survive if you leave.

Overpar 03-10-07 06:42 AM

Don't let the door hit ya in the a$$ on the way out!

Wildo1966 03-10-07 06:53 AM

I would be upset if they started charging us $30 to be a member here, but I can't understand why the OP is so upset....Business is business...

basaro 03-10-07 07:14 AM

Every post I've ever read from Mike Adams, he was pissed in. Most of them I didn't even know why. Must just be one of those people who loves to be angry all the time?

I don't think you'll be missed Mike, bon voyage.

Pointyskull 03-10-07 07:48 AM

I don't get the hostility from the OP.

Plus, I always think it's funny when forum users get full of themselves like this is the Senate or something. We talk about DVDs. Get over it.

marty888 03-10-07 08:04 AM

..... and he couldn't even find the correct forum for this sort of rant.

Mr. Cinema 03-10-07 08:06 AM

That's one less member I don't have to put on my ignore list. So I benefit either way.

 Good call. It is like those moronic free speech rants we get every few months from some knob.

I haven't been posting here that long, but I did read the rules (and thought I understood them pretty well). Isn't this message breaking the first rule of this forum twice?

"ABSOLUTELY NO:
• Posting of personal attacks against another member, moderator or administrator in the forum
"

As someone who is reading about this for the first time and has no vested interest in it, I must say that if this comment slips by without a ripple, it would lend a great deal of credence to the OP's point.

wildcatlh 03-10-07 08:12 AM

um... bye?

TomOpus 03-10-07 08:30 AM

You had me at "strippers to be completely nude" :hump:

Mod note: Even if the person is supposedly signing off, this sort of language is really unnecessary. Just let him go in peace

You may think you're being cute, but an attack like this on someone, no matter their situation, who didn't attack or even have any interaction with you in this thread is asking for mod/admin discussion of a suspension.

Yeah, ain't capitalism fucking great? I wish I could come up with a site that would do that for me, but then I'm not as smart as Geoff:shrug:
