(Great) Advertisement and review idea.

I think it is great, but maybe useless.

Although this might be impossible (Well I know it isn't impossible because I am a programmer), but depending on how the site works. In the UserCP, each user would be able to select a specific genre of movies they enjoy the best. Then the advertisements (in the middle of threads) and DVD Reviews, HD Reviews (posted at the top) that get posted would be randomly selected for each User based on their favorite genres. I think that would be a great way to get the word out of movies out there you might not know about but would be something you are interested in.

I have definitely found some new movies I never heard about by clicking on the reviews because I thought it sounded interesting. But if I knew it was in genre I liked then I might be even more interested.

I guess if we're going to have ads, they may as well be targeted ads.

So that'd get rid of the 'Are We There Yet?' DVD review ad at the top of my screen?

Count me in!

Wish we could do something like this, but out ad server isn't connected to the forum nor the review db. Would be great to target things like that...

Well thats a shame. Maybe something to think about in the future if you do a major update.

Makes sense as it would, theoretically impress advertisers at the ability to target and would (logically) increase clickthroughs and sales.
