You Tube embed video tags?

I know I saw some members embedding Youtube in their posts - how do we do this?

Thanks

Nevermind, I just found a video someone posted and quoted it to see how they did it.

There is a forum mod that is easy to do here:

All we would have to do if this was installed is to use

.If someone would install it - a little easier than the current method for sure.

OK I'll enable this as a test and see how it works out.

Seems to work but takes a pretty long time to load.

Great... Now instead of just getting a broken image I get an ActiveX popup that I have to close before I can do anything else. Now that's annoying!

yeah, that's fantastic

Where do you get that?

Numanoid 01-27-07 01:40 AM

Works fine here.

Since I have IE set to not download or run ActiveX controls, each time I open a thread with the new tag I get an error message that needs to be acknowledged before continuing to load the page, such as this thread. Just like when I go to YouTube.

The old method of posting the videos resulted in just a large broken image, but no ActiveX error message. Whatever the new one does goes beyond that and tries to run some ActiveX control and that results in the pop up error message.

Paranoia will destroy ya.

Works fine for me. No special set ups, or attempts to blocks ads, etc... like X has. ;)

Bugg 01-30-07 07:00 PM

Works fine for me. And it's a lot easier than previous method of posting youtube videos.
