What is my Password?

I mailed down "Forgot Password" twice. My computer at home remembers it but the ones at work have re-set. I've tried twice for the reminder with nothing.

Mods.

Please respond. It's been a while since this got reset on me. I can't post from work now. I was pretty sure I remembered my password, but no luck.

Why don't you list all of your other internet IDs and passwords and we will try to help you figure it out?

NCMojo 12-05-06 08:06 AM

3700 posts, and you still don't know how to e-mail a mod, or post in the Feedback Forum???

DarthVong 12-05-06 08:23 AM

Is it 11peeinherbutt11?

Just change your password to "DVDtalkSucks", and you will never forget it.

VinVega 12-05-06 08:42 AM

This really belongs in Feedback. Moving.

However, I will alert the admins about this.

X 12-05-06 11:04 AM

We don't know what your password is either. I'll have to send you another password reminder.

If you don't get it you may need to provide another email address.

 Oh boy! Is that egg on my face? (Good thing I’m part mongoose and love eggs.) In all this time I’ve never had call to use this area. If my computer hadn’t crashed for about a year and my free email service hadn’t wiped my account, where I kept my original password email from when I first joined, I still wouldn’t have had to.

So in a way that little debacle was a small price to pay for my education and humiliation here today. :p

(I think that was my first moved thread. :D )

I checked my email and ..nada. Can I email one of you my email address(es) and get a “reminder daemon”? (made that one up, but you know what I mean. Right?)

Will I lose my user name if the email address is different than the one I signed up with?

No, but it will be changed to "Mrs.Kudama"

Yes

No

Kudama 12-07-06 12:48 AM

Umm...Any word on this yet? I will re-register as Kodama. I'm not really into post counts and the reactions from those that are might be funny.

Let me know.

X 12-07-06 01:11 AM

Our rules state that you're allowed only one account so it wouldn't be a good idea to register a new account.

Why don't you just get an email address that will accept DVD Talk emails and let me know what it is?

VinVega 12-07-06 08:14 AM

Don't reregister under another name Kudama. Just send X your internet email that you're sure won't be turned off I hope ;) and the admins can input that into your profile, so when we send you your password reminder, you will actually be able to get the email. :D Simple enough?

To email a user here on DVDTalk, just click on their name in a post they made and some options will come up. One of them will be email so and so. Just click that and send them an email.

Bandoman 12-07-06 08:58 AM

Looks like you're going to have to work while you're at work.

I treat my employers with the the same respect that I am treated with. (Wrangling zombies isn't even part of my job description...but, guess who they call on when someone from that dept calls in sick.)

Seriously you guys, the only intact connection I have here is my home computer and I'm running W23. I've bought WXP, but once I upgrade and I lose the connection, I will either be excommunicated from this forum, or I will have to die as Kudama and resume as Kodoma.

X. I am re-sending my email addresses right now. (check time stamp) If you don't get them, please direct me to a tutorial on emailing admins>

X 12-13-06 11:24 PM

I haven't seen your email yet...

Just click on the "X" over my picture and choose "Send email to X". Then fill in the form and sent it.

Kudama 12-14-06 12:39 AM

I just followed those exact instructions (same I used before). I even included what I thought I remembered was my old password.

X 12-14-06 09:00 AM

I finally did get it.

I sent a password reminder email to your Netscape email address.

Kudama 12-14-06 05:22 PM

 Thanks, X! (My first post from work :) )

And isn't that really what it's all about?

my prob is that my work computer for some reason or the other, once I put in my password and click 'remember me' wont stay logged on for a long duration - I assume it's a 'cookie' issue.
