Adding an avatar?

Not sure if this has been covered, but I'm attempting to add an avatar. Under 'edit avatar', the only option seems to be 'do not use avatar'. Am I missing something?

Only moderators and DVD Talk reviewers can add avatars.

Well that's pretty lame.

I think it's a band-width thing.

I know it's been covered in previous threads but I applaud DVDTalk's decision not to have avatars. I've been to other forums and I hate scrolling down passed the same three or four stupid avatars over and over. Aside from the bandwidth issue they clutter up each and every page. I love coming to each page and seeing it neat and clean.

I don't really care one way or the other. If it were allowed I'd probably have one, but I have them turned off here anyway.

Well, you could always go with the "pissing of the mods" option and end up with a surprise avatar for an indeterminable amount of time. :p

Every form I've ever been to with avatars there's an option to turn them off so you don't have to see them.

I should really get into the porn industry. Then I could have a cool avatar.
