Time Weirdness??

OK, Eastern time is GMT-4:00 when on DST, and GMT-5:00 on standard time.

Time shown at bottom of "other" forum is still GMT -4:00.

When I went to my user profile, and here on feedbackforum, it shows as GMT-5:00. (Note: My profile is set to GMT-5 and auto-DST.)

At another vB-powered forum, it was incorrect until until I went to my profile page, then was correct even though I didn't change anything there.

All the server clocks should now be synched up.

The time I saw on posts was an hour ahead after DST went away. That happened to me the last time DST ended and it bugged me so I was determined to fix it.

I went into the User CP and tried out the various options. The one that says "DST corrections always off" shows the time correctly. I guess I'll find out if it stays correct when DST comes around again.

Yeah, I turned mine off too. I guess I'll turn it back on in April.

Maybe it means not to have the forum correct for the time change, your computer's time change will handle it.

I thought there was a different thread for this (and there may well be but my search didn't find it), but I'm seeing a few instances where replies are appearing before the post they replied to. Seems to have started after DST switch last week.

We added a new forum server the other week and then moved ALL our servers to a new data center. So it looks like the time wasn't in sync with all of them. Should be fixed now.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:19 PM.
