Help, please!!!
 

Okay, something really strange is going on.... I fired up my computer this morning and checked my e-mail - I had notifications of responses to posts in three or four DVD Talk threads but, each time I opened up the e-mail and clicked the link, the responsive post quoted in the notification e-mail was not there! (In other words, the link would take me to the thread, but the post referenced in the e-mail was not there... everything's still as it was when I shut down last night). I tried logging out, clearing cookies, etc., but to no avail. Has anyone else had this happen? How does one go about resolving the issue?

Any insight/help would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe the members who made the posts that you were notified about deleted their posts?

I'd certainly think so if it were just one or two, but four this morning, and then a fifth one before I posted this thread? Seems kinda odd to me.... But then, of course, your post is here, just as I was notified it would be... :whofart:

How many threads to you get notifications to anyway?

Is that why the internet seems kind of slow today?

Oh, gosh.... seven or eight, I think. I did hear from one person that they actually did delete their post after the fact (posted in wrong thread), and I think another response was moved to a new thread, so maybe it is just an odd coincidence after all....

(Edited to add: Yeah, I'm all over the Net, so it probably is me slowing everything down... :p )

Indeed - the day I don't get notification of a Buford response is the day I throw my computer out! ;)
