No more smilie banners, please!
 
The banners in of themselves are OK. What I hate is as soon as they come on the screen, the most annoying voices give the animates smilies "character." I associate these types of banners with the worst of the Internet, and have avoided sites that feature them in the past. I know this site has to make money, but isn't there a way to mute them? (Other than just turning down my speaker volume, that is!)

they're coming in from one of the ad networks we use. I'll look into how to block them.
