Request Sub Forum: NationStates

I would like to proposal a baby forum (eh, sub forum) called “NationStates.” I feel that we should have our own forum where we can discuss about the game, proposal votes, UN votes, Issues, and more in private. It also helps us track on certain thread easily, instead of Other Talk forum where it can sink out of Page 1 quickly.

Yes, NationStates has its own forum, but it’s open to public view and we have no way to keep it ourselves. I’m not asking you for member-only sub forum; it will remain open to anyone who wishes to check it out.

We have 54 DVDTalkers (maybe more) playing NationStates right now.

Thank you for reading. :)

I think you might just need a Sticky.

how about just give us book talk

Kittydreamer 05-17-06 09:16 PM

 That would work!

If enough of us moved over to book talk, we could take it over.

If we do invade Book Talk, can we "influence" a friendly mod to lock any non-NationStates threads?

Venusian 05-18-06 09:26 AM

if the thread sinks off of page 1 quickly, doesn't that indicate that it isn't that popular?

Groucho 05-18-06 09:33 AM

I don't think a sub-forum is necessary, and as such I've set up an offsite forum for this purpose.

Huh? It's stayed on page 1 since it was started.

Bandoman 05-18-06 02:18 PM

That means we're popular!

Drexl 05-18-06 07:41 PM

How about one called "Politics and World Events?" :)

VinVega 05-19-06 08:21 AM

I don't see the sub forum happening, but I'm just middle management. I don't have the real juice here like he who's name shall not be spoken of. ;)

Groucho: No offense, but NS already has a forum built into it. It's too much to ask to check here, the NS thread/page, and some other forum.

But here's the kicker...

"Jennifer Government is a novel by Max Barry, on which NationStates is based. The book is set in an ultra-privatized world, of the sort you can create in NationStates, if you're mean enough."

Moving to Book Talk!

Then you're really going to flip when you see http://www.myspace.com/unitedotteremerates

But anyway, the new forum was primarily set up for automated voting on UN Proposals / Resolutions (for those who care to do so), something that wasn't possible otherwise.
