Speaking of deleted threads, it appears the "Why the PS2 Will Fail" thread in Video Game Talk has been deleted. Any reason why?

Yeah, several people got worked up because they didn't agree with my personal opinion about the PS2 controllers, then the OP got embarrassed when he tried to mock me and my response made him look silly.

1) If your going to dish it out you need to be able to take it

2) Everyone is entitled to their personal opinion.

The last thing before the delete was Hinkle said he put me on ignore. Am I supposed to feel bad about that?

Personally I thought it was an interesting discussion, oh well.

It's a test. We'll see how it goes. Also testing out another feature to see the impact.

LurkerDan 07-12-07 06:16 PM

oooh, secret hidden feature. Does it involve Mojo, a goat, and some vaseline?

"That's hot."

GeoffK 07-12-07 07:29 PM

It's not a secret feature, it's one that is now on.

LurkerDan 07-12-07 08:22 PM

holy moley!

NCMojo 07-12-07 08:56 PM

The Mojo legacy so far:
  • Stopped forum members from deleting active threads
  • Enabled public messages on the forum
  • Custom avatars (coming soon!)
Now, all we need is to get rid of Book Talk, turn Comic Book and Politics Talk from sub-forums to main forums, and change the name of this place to DVDMojo.com... and I can retire to my estate in the Hamptons to spend the rest of my term in idle leisure.

GeoffK 07-12-07 09:00 PM

Yeah I'm not announcing any of the updates. Just letting people discover it.... That way there isn't a surge of messaging etc.

do we know if the ability to delete our own threads will be turned back on soon? i only ask bc i have no problem deleting my own threads if it is a duplicate. now, we can't and that seems like littering. especially in DVD Exchange. i know we aren't allowed to have two open exchange threads at the same time. i wanted to change a title with new info and delete my old so as not to dup.

LurkerDan 07-30-07 01:06 PM

Just email a mod for those kinds of things, would be my guess.

Yep.

Kittydreamer 08-08-07 10:39 PM

Since now we can't delete our own threads, which is cool and all, do you think we could have the ability to edit our own thread titles? That would be awesome for those of us who can't spell worth shit.

LurkerDan 08-09-07 11:20 AM

I think Kitydreemer makes a gud point.

Bill Geiger 08-09-07 12:24 PM

I think editing of the titles would help, especially in the exchange forum...as well and others.

I wanted to delete my post so I could add a poll. Looks like I won't be able to do that now. I'd rather have the ability to do that.
