Is dvdtalk using weird activeX all of a sudden?
I just have started getting this notice a lot at dvdtalk:
http://webpages.charter.net/solinari/activex.jpg I always get it on the front forum page, and sometimes other pages as well. As far as I know, I haven't changed any security settings lately. |
Im getting a yellow bar at the top that says "To help protect your security, IE stopped this site from installing an ActiveX control over your computer. Click here for options.."
It never did that before. |
I am getting:
Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan Event: Threat Found! Threat: Download.Trojan File: C:\Documents and Settings\gschmidt\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\6MW8T9UR\winosrd[1].exe Location: C:\Documents and Settings\gschmidt\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\6MW8T9UR Computer: XXXXXXXX-XXXX User: My Info Action taken: Clean failed : Quarantine failed : Access denied: File Deleted Date found: Tuesday, April 04, 2006 2:40:39 PM |

It never did that before. This allows multiple pop ups while IE is focused on Active X. If the pop up and get through IE's blocker, what else is getting through? I'm doing a system check, hopefully someone will send a mass email letting us know this is taken care of. |

It never did that before. Strong agreement. Every time I open a new thread that warning pops up. |
We were hacked. it should be fixed now. We're looking in to how it was done.
