quick programming question re: forum posts
 
so, i'm getting sick of linking to things using html but not knowing what the proper code is to get it to open in a separate window so you don't leave the DVDTalk page...

can anybody help me out? (that's not the right question...)

who's going to be the first person to provide the answer to my query?

thanks! and what's the "unique" thing that goes in the target quotations?! :)

Just put anything in there. It doesn't matter what it is, exactly, but if you want to be sure it opens in a new window, put something unique. A lot of people just use something like <b>_new</b> or <b>_blank</b>, but if you have five links that use the same convention, they'll all open in the same new window rather than spawning five individual new windows, if that explanation makes any sense.
