A new forum for HD technology, please
 

I just want to point out to the mods, that the HD threads are starting to get out of hand.

Gutwrencher suggested an HD sticky (in a thread), but I think that will really not cover everything. Another forum for all things HD related might be a good idea as it will clear out the numerous HDTV and HD-DVD threads in the DVD Talk forum.

The DVD announcements and disscussion are getting harder to find among the HD arguments. As much as I enjoy them, I would not mind them be gathered in one spot.

If everyone thinks we do not need a new forum, so be it. However, I think as things are bound to get more more confusing with the format war and new releases in different formats, I feel it is time to expand. (this is just liek when we got a STL forum because the request were killing the bargain forum)

This thread inspired this feedback thread, since no one is posting here, I thought I would connect the threads.

Please create a sub-forum for all the HD threads. There's just too many of them already, and likely more will pop up as time progresses.

I also agree with someone in the other thread who said that it might be confusing to visiters who are new to DVD. All the apocalyptic talk sure would scare me if I was thinking about getting into DVD.

I'm in complete agreement. There needs to be another sub-forum for HD talk.

I imagine this will become a sure-fire reality when the HD-DVD titles get released later this year.

Will it have separate subforums for HD-DVD and Blu-ray? ;)
