ads by google?
is this a new thing?
curious how that works is google paying for 1 ad spot.. and in their spot, they are running several ads? if thats the case, something doesnt seem fair there |
The web sites agree to pay Overture/Google/Yahoo a certain amount per hit. Typically from 10 cents to maybe 15 cents.
It is in their best interest for Google to intelligently place those ads on sites willing to host it. It is also good for advertisers. |
they are very large though...

this site is very free though...

actually.. i wasnt commenting on their size or anything
i was just curious if its worthwhile you sell ad space to a company for x amount per hit and they use that space to put up 4 ads, charging x amount per hit if they get 2, 3, or 4 times as much money.. then couldnt you have skipped the middle man and sold ads to those same 4 people? or do you have to be as big as goggle to get the big time ad deals? |

What you are saying would be difficult since it would be impossible to find the same amount of sites/clicks and work out a deal with each of them. Google is a very very good middleman. |
