when i have posted, and hit the back button, why doesnt it go back?
 

when i post a thread or comment, and then hit the back button, how come it can never go back to the main forum menu?

The back button takes you to the last page you were at. If you post something, then the last page you saw was the post screen, not the main forum menu.

Actually, the last page you saw was the "Thank you for Posting!" page, i.e., the post in progress page. At that page, you are immediately redirected to your post in the thread. What you have to do is quickly hit "Back" twice, so that you pass the "Posting" page before you're redirected.

Instead of 'back', try just clicking the 'go' button at the bottom next to "Forum Jump", which will take you back to the forum you were in with the page refreshed.

Yep, or you can click the forum name at the top beside the subject header.

i.e. if you post to this thread, you could then click "Forum Feedback and Support" in the header section that looks like:

DVD Talk Forum > Feedback > Forum Feedback and Support > when i have posted, and hit the back button, why doesnt it go back?
