Am I logging on to DVD talk forums the hard way?

A big reason I'm mostly a lurker here is I find it a little inconvenient to login. I have to go into a post, scroll to the bottom, hit the login button, enter username and password, then relocate the forum (usually video game talk).

Quick reply always results in a login failed for me. Which is pretty inconvenient after I've spent five minutes typing something.

Am I just so dense that I don't see the login on the home page? If so, don't be too mean.

I thought the hard way involved a speculum and a ball gag.

Definately use a cookie. I agree about the quick reply not working being a pain if not logged in. That kills me when I'm on someone else's computer or I've cleared my cookies during Web testing. If I had to do that every time, I'd be a lurker too. Learn to embrace the cracker. Er... cookie.

Just to confirm...the quick reply login in is broken...just one more thing that is supposed to be corrected in the next version of the forum software.
