That's not true. I've seen the shit episode rerun a couple of times.

How about renaming :threadcrap;

RoyalTea 09-12-03 03:58 PM

is the releasing of the shit retroactive?

If I typed the word shit a month ago and the filter changed the shit to ****, would it still say ****, or would it be shit now?

edit: i guess i answered my own question. if you search for shit, you'll only find posts from the last two days.

and I won't change my signature to "ask me about my explosive shits" - i'll just keep it the same.

Geoff, your wish is my command.

Wizdar 09-13-03 01:02 PM

Just checking.

Even though it's pretty much irrelevant to the point I was trying to get across, I should have said it was never again aired unedited. Happy now? ;)

Just Lurking 09-13-03 09:49 PM

Shit has been posted 40 times in this thread. Err... make that 41.

Groucho 09-13-03 09:57 PM

What editing was done to It Hits the Fan? I've seen it several times in repeats and don't remember any changes.

Yeah, but you could have Shit sapiens though. Or, you could just say H. sapiens, and us scientists will know what you're talking about.

How was it edited? I saw it a few weeks ago, and they still had the counter for every time "shit" was uttered.

hgar78 09-15-03 01:56 PM

first  now shit! wow, geoff's on a roll.... :D

Trigger 09-15-03 02:15 PM

The first day, there was alot of "shit" tossed around - but I think it's died down some. The novelty has worn off - maybe we'll get to keep "shit" after all.

DonnachaOne 09-15-03 02:16 PM

Well, after a few days of this I notice that 'shit' is a lot more common in threads, especially those frequented by the seasoned members of the board (who frequent this forum).

Would you attribute the increase in shit-use to the idea that this is how much people would use the word anyway, or the idea that people are using the word just for teh sake of being able to?

Bandoman 09-15-03 03:08 PM

Shit if I know.

Last time I saw the episode all the "shits" were bleeped out. Maybe it's changed since then.

I dunno, I sure as shit heard them a few months ago...

Bandoman 09-16-03 08:17 PM

I find that bleeped out swears on TV are funnier than the actual words. Maybe it's just me.

Goblincat 09-16-03 08:31 PM

shit
shitting
shat
I shit you not

Sorry, just checking. :D

Wizdar 09-16-03 09:12 PM

I just want to mention that I am one of only 3 or 4 posters to this thread who hasn’t used the word “shit.”

:D

What??

Aw, CRAP!! :grunt:

kvrdave 09-17-03 11:07 AM

Oh for shit's sake. Is this still around?

I found the bleeped audio track of "The Osbournes" on DVD much funnier than the uncensored.

costanza187 09-19-03 05:54 AM

Yes... but can we say "bullshit"?

GeoffK 09-19-03 12:07 PM

OK. Since shit has been done about this thread I'm going to close it :)
