How do I link to a specific post within a thread?
I've tried numerous times, but I can't figure out the syntax. Instead of linking to a thread, I'd like to link to a specific post within that thread.
Some help please? http://www.ameritech.net/users/dvdtalk/rome.gif |
You can use this template...
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?postid=XXX#postXXX And replace the "XXX" with the postid you see when you put your cursor over the "quote" icon as if you were going to quote the post. http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...70#post3953370 |

And, what's that little page icon in the upper left? http://ads.kleinman.com/images/posticon.gif It says "Old Post," but doesn't click anywhere. |

Thanks, X. I hadn’t noticed that before.

I have actually been doing this the hard way... by going to the post I want to link to, clicking on Profile, doing a search for all posts by the user, finding that post, right-clicking, selecting Properties and then copying the URL.
Whew! Probably much easier to follow X's advice. |
Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I was doing pretty much the same thing.
