Forum Clock A Little Slow
I notice the forum clock is running about 7-8 minutes slow. The first tsign was when I posted a news item two minutes before the news agency released it. I will submit at exactly 12:41:00

Over the course of time, these little inaccuracies will add up. As OldDude has explained, posting an item before it becomes known can be a problem. If he’s correct, and the forum clock was slow, then you run the risk of having an item posted before it’s posted, thereby, effectively, dealing in time travel. Although “time travel” using relativistic means is a proven fact, one cannot travel forward in time whilst remaining in one’s current time-frame reference. Thus, posting to the forum would become impossible and geoff would starve. And I don’t think anybody wants that.
So, in order for geoff to stay alive, an occasional tweaking of the clock is necessary. We’re just looking out for his, and the forum’s, best interests.
It’s actually quite selfish, when you get right down to it.
