It was a temporary sub forum in Movie Talk. Lasted from about the date of release of the movie, to the day Geoff made the post above.

This was first done for Star Wars Episode 2. Every once in a while, a movie comes out that really generates a lot of threads, and to allow as much discussion as possible without overwhelming the rest of the movie thread topics, a sub forum is created just for that film.

I think Guess just wanted to sabotage the LOTR forum due to his Start Wars fanboy outlook. That's what I think.

Not to criticize the mngmt, but I thought it was a great idea. DVDfile's forum has subdivisions for SW and LOTR full time, I was thinking that would be a good idea for here too.

The forums I would merge would be DVDtalk and DVDreviews, I think the traffic would help each other. (or would said traffic be more of a strain on the servers?)
