Page numbers color

I'm sure this has been brought up before but the page numbers are quite hard to read being dark on the blue background. I end up highlighting them most times in order to see. Is this something that might be changed?

I'm the only one?

What page numbers are you talking about? The ones I usually see are dark blue on a white or gray background. Can you take a screen shot?

abintra 11-11-02 12:54 AM

Interesting, mine are dark blue on blue. Screenshot on its way.

SC.. I tried emailing it to you yesterday but it bounced, perhaps due to size. How do I send it as a .jpg?

Static Cling 11-12-02 08:53 AM

1. Hit "Print Screen" to take the screenshot.
2. Open MS Paint.
3. Hit Ctrl-V to paste the screenshot into the program.
4. Adjust the size if necessary by going to Image --> Attributes.
5. Go to File --> Save As, then click on the drop-down menu for Save As Type, and select JPEG.

That should do it.

Thanks for the help. The drop down menu just lists bitmap options though. I left it as a .bmp, no choice, and named the extension .jpg in the file name but it still is 1.37 MB. Sending that.

I just realized you probably thought I was referring to the pages in the forums instead of the page numbers within individual threads that are dark blue on the blue bar. Other than the total page numbers and the current one you are on the rest are not readable to me.

abintra, I see the numbers you are talking about, but for me they are quite clear. I wonder if your color/brightness settings are off. My old monitor was like that, in it's final years the colors became darker and darker. I had to get rid of it for that reason.

As far as the file, I think older version of paint worked only with BMP files? There should be a SAVEAS option to allow you to save as a JPG or GIF. Calling it a JPG will not make it so, and as you can see, it's still a large biitmapped file.

Also, not sure what it will tell us. If the colors are too dark on your monitor, they will still map to the correct colors on the picture file you create. That file will look too dark to you, but appear fine to me I think.

Okie dokie, will play around with it when I get a chance. Thank you kindly.
