Why did we change the titles again?

Someone said they didn't like the last set of titles so Geoff came up with something new.

Are you saying you'd like them changed back, or changed to something else?

So whats the new set of titles?

Ya, I think the new ones suck and should be changed back. I don't know how many other people do, too, and you had locked the original thread, so I just started this one to see what the general consensus was.

i suggest that Aghama gets renamed "Joltaddict's boytoy" :D

I too think they're pretty weak and pointless. Limited, Ultimate, Special, Vista Series? Even if the titles are stupid, I'd rather them at least be distinctive.

As I said some will like them, some won't.

Titles are never something that everyone can agree with. Maybe in the future when we move to 3.0 of the forum software we'll revisit the title thing

Well, since you changed them in the first place due to a couple people whining, I thought I'd see if that would work to change them back. But I guess ziggy + focker + intertia > me + das + elasticity

anyone have any good suggestions for what they could be?

Why not let those who really want a cool title pay for one? Many other forums do this.

edit: BTW, I think the titles are cool, I just wish I didn't need at least 450 more posts to get one. I'm going to be a senior member for a long time.

I too agree that ultimate, limited, vista series, etc. are kinda weak and well.. don't show much.

Don't forget to change "God" to "Non-Gender-Specific Potentially Omnipresent Force in the Universe That May or May Not Exist"

Oversensitivity is what got us into this mess in the first place. I don't see why people have to raise a stink about such completely harmless stuff. Now we're blessed (though not necessarily religiously, of course) with bland titles, many of which are barely different from one another.

Of course, some may not like these, but I think they're appropriate. And that's coming from an Enormous Loser! :thumbsup: :D

how about something along the lines of

"Has seen the V pop up more times then you would imagen" to replace "hero" :p

and thats when you been on DVD Talk to long as Jack's thread suggests

Is there a page that shows how many posts someone needs to move to a different title?
