Does anyone use the chat function? (DVD related)
 

I was wondering if anyone uses the chat feature on this website. As I recall there was a weekly get together scheduled to talk about DVD's etc. Is that still around - and if not who'd like to start it up again/participate - maybe we could have a DVD of the week club where we can discuss one dvd/film per week. What do you think?

I tried it a couple of time and no one seemed to chat. :(

No one seems to do it because there's no schedule or anything and whenever someone checks, there's no one there. They used to have the Friday night things, but...I don't know.

Friday night is still chat night, but not many people show up. I've been on there when there's 1 other person, and when there's a dozen.

Since this thread is about the forum, and not really about DVDs, moving to Feedback.

We had 3-5 people in the chatroom on Friday. The chatroom and especially the #other channel is carried by divxguy. If he didn't put in the effort to stay most of the night and talk to the couple of people that show up, we wouldn't have a chat room.

Maybe we should try scheduling a chat session for sometime other than a Friday or Saturday night... how about Sunday? Most people are at home Sunday evenings, so that might work. Say, start the chat at 6pm Pacific and let it go until...
