I would like to know how to insert [DEAL DEAD] in the Subject line of the thread (during normal editing of the subject line, the line/link showing on the hot deals page does not change)

You should be able to do it on your own threads, but on the ones you didn't start, you'll have to email a mod.

I think you can only edit your subject within the first 5 minutes or something like that... after that, I believe a mod has to do it.

You may be right...It does not seem to work later

Click on the "report this post to a moderator" for the thread where you want the change. Just let him know and he'll be happy to do it.

You cannot manually make changes to the title after 10 minutes.

I try to edit the titles to note that the deals are dead, as I did your previous thread about the $10 Amazon GC. You have to be the forum mod or an Admin as Bushdog said.
