Which Forum?

Is there a quick and easy rule I can use to decide which forum to post in (Movie Talk or DVD Talk)? I have posted and seen many threads were moved out of place in my opinion. It doesn't really matter, I'm just bored and curious.

DVD Talk Talk about DVD's and movies on DVD

Movie Talk A Discussion area for everything movie related including In The Theaters

Using this logic, I would have thought that my Lake Placid poll would have gone in DVD Talk, since it is on DVD and NOT in the theaters. Oh well.

I think DVD Talk is to talk about the DVD (quality of transfer, release dates, sound, cases, etc) Wheras Movie Talk is to talk specifically about the movie (plots, actors, etc)

Though I admit, there is certainly a lot of overlap

The "Movies on DVD" part is a bit misleading, I admit. I've had a post or two moved as well.

A safe bet would be anything related to any movie would best be suited in Movie Talk.

DVD Talk would be anything about upcoming DVDs and current DVD questions/comments (special features, sound, packaging, etc...)

Just my .02 :)

If a thread is completely about a movie, and has nothing to do with that movie's DVD features or release, then it goes in Movie Talk.

If the thread is about a movie's release on DVD, including any features on that DVD, or movies that are on DVD (many movies have yet to be released on DVD), then it goes in DVD Talk.

And if a thread is about questions, feedback, or suggestions about the DVD Talk Forum, then it goes in Feedback and Support... moving thread. :)
