Best movie of (insert year) threads dominating Movie Talk
 

I don't mind the threads themselves, it's just that everytime a member finds them, they reply to all of them and bump them to the top. There's currently 9 of them all in a row in Movie Talk from one member replying to every one of them consecutively.

Well that's a rarity and only happens when someone just discovers them. They should all fall back down soon enough if any of the other discussion threads get any activity to them.

There's really no around them, besides locking all but the current one. But that could work I guess.

Since they are just normal threads, they will fall from the top soon enough. It's not like they're stuck there.

True. I guess there's not much to be done about it.

The member that posted them should have simply started one at a time, let the poll run for a set amount of time, and then have a mod close it and start the next one. But obviously that solution does no good now.

I agree that there are a bit too many going at once but I don't spend a lot of time in that particular forum so it doesn't bother me much.

These are:

1. Normal threads
2. Were not started all at once so as to flood the forum
3. Garner a lot of interested responses from regular users
4. Are very much on topic

I just don't see any reason to do anything about them.

I'm just amazed that people can think of a year (say, 1994) and know exactly which movies came out that year. Scary. :eek:
