Avatars are annoying. That is all.

Avatars and image signatures are the second worst thing about internet forums.

I like the look of a forum without avatars. Do we really need a pic of Stone Cold Steve Austin or a baboon picking its ass next to our usernames? They're useless and makes a forum look cheesy, in my opinion.

Then turn them off.

:hscratch: But didn't you used to post an image of a beer label (or whatever) in every one of your posts? It is the same thing.

Personally I like avatars, and that is one thing that I always missed here. I can see the pros and cons though, and I can understand why it wouldn't be implemented here.
