well, i don't know what happened, i figured it was a glitch in the matrix or something, because I signed up under a user name, and for a while, my name kept changing from time to time. I've never officially requested a user name change, and the name that I have now is not the name that i signed up under!

I will preface my remarks, which are necessarily vague, by saying that it remains the right and privilege of members generally to misconstrue and/or malign the efforts of the volunteers charged with keeping some form of order around here.

My July 7 post should not by any means be taken as representing the first response. I posted as I did and thread-bumped for a particular reason with a view both to "concluding" a particular issue and leaving some guidance behind for the future benefit of others in a similar position.

Some posts, like the one you reference, represent the tip of the iceberg. Quite a bit of modding and administration necessarily is done behind the scenes.
