How long does it take to receive a response
 

Dear DVD Talk,

I emailed about 5 days ago about an unfortunate situation I had. My computer crashed and I do not have the email address of where my password is to be sent. I need to know that email address because my password was also stored on my pc. I am SOL without it.

Can you email me the email address I used for this forum?

Or do I have to completely start over?

Also, what is the average time to expect for an email response. I thought it was 24hrs.

My username is DVD Polizei, and I am getting frustrated. :)

Did you email [email protected] ? While it's good for forum problems, Geoff (the site owner and recipient of those emails) also has the main page and a host of other problems to attend to. With the volume of email he gets, sometimes things get overlooked by mistake.

If you have future forum related problems, however, you should always feel free to email any of the moderators or administrators. Because all we do is take care of the forum, we're able to respond more quickly to member questions/problems.

Sorry fo the delay, and if you have anymore problems, don't hesitate to email me or any of the other moderators or administrators.

I did receive an email over the weekend. :)
Unfortunately, I had to email back again because I have several email addresses with a particular email service, and I was told only that it was ______ email service (not the actual email address). I expect a reply this week, so I'll holdout until Friday if I don't hear anything.

I do apologize for being such a pain. My motherboard crash was quite a surprise to me. But not again!

I'd keep the new username. It looks cool.
