Is the "Report this post to a moderator" option anonymous?
 

I assume the user's name is stored somewhere, since you're required to log in before you submit, but are the mods emailed this information along with the complaint? Just curious.

Even though I'm not the "official" word, I do know that your alias and email address are sent along with the report. I have been replied to this way.

No, it's not anonymous.

What we get is an email that has a standard non-specific subject and then reads sort of as follows:

Blade (gives my email if I've made it available to moderators) has reported this post:

Post/Thread title
Link to actual post you used the "Report this Post" link from

This is part of this thread:
Thread title
Link to thread itself

This is the reason that the user gave:
Comments you typed in the box, if any

Then it says that it sent this email to all moderators of that particular forum and tells us to do something about it if necessary. :)

However, we NEVER give out the name of the member who has reported a post. If any action needs to be taken, we may say that we've received complaints, but we never give out the names of the person making the report.

So please use the feature! It really helps us out tremendously.
