Problem with login and password

I've sent several e-mails regarding troubles with my e-mail account and password on the forum here. Although I've been a member for approximately 2 years, I received no reply to my e-mails and had to resort to reregistering under a slightly different username. Any help regarding this issue or does life go on as the new me?
