how comes some times when i click on links it opens a new window and sometimes it dont?

If you let the board's software do the work and just paste in a URL it will spawn a new window on clicking.

If you write your own HTML and omit the <b>target="_blank"</b>, as I used to, the link will take over your window when clicked.
