I'm on DSL.. so why is this forum NOW so slow? It wasn't before.
 

I can't understand why it takes SO long to access the pages on dvdtalk.com . It was so much faster before the change Geoff mentioned. What can I do?

call and complain to your dsl provider
the page load extrmely quickly for me and Im on cable

During primetime, small gifs (emoticons) and Geoff's banners always hang... But offpeak it run's fine.

I don't believe it is your DSL provider........

I have been having the same problems ever since Geoff switched to this new software...... I have this problem all day long.

I access this site at work from a network.
I am using IE5.5 with SP2. My OS is win NT 4.0.
How about you?

I visit less often and only click on a few threads because posts take about a minute or more to load..

I hope Geoff can fix this.

Last time Geoff asked me to do a Traceroute but I did not know how to do it....

Fine on my end.

I'm fine for most of the day. Occasionally, the forum runs extremely slow, but I just leave. By the time I return it's fine.

It was never this slow before Geoff made the announcement of a new forum. Now it's not fun anymore casue its so slow to click on posts. I have been and am still using pac bell for dsl & I have a very fast speed as well except for this forum.
