Theatrical reviews in reviews portion of DVD Talk?
No offense to Aaron -- I think he's a great reviewer, but could those theatrical reviews be kept someplace else on DVD Talk? They seem really out of place in a section primarily consisting of DVD reviews.
I can create a separate tool for theatrical reviews if you'd like when I start reworking the current system sometime in the next month or two. |
Whoops, got your e-mail response, Geoff. I see what you mean about the strategic importance of having theatrical reviews, but isn't there a better way of doing this?

I agree. For big event releases it makes sense but the top 15 or so reviews right now are all theatrical - some for movies that aren't even playing anymore. Aaron is a good writer but this doesn't seem the best way to go about it (maybe I'm just jealous that I don't have the time to go to that many movies)

I'd also like to see DVD Audio split from the regular reviews.

Well, darnit. That was going to be a surprise.
I completely rewrote the review software -- not a single line of existing code remains. I'm about a third of the way through with the display side. I'm hoping to be finished in the next day or two... Audio reviews (not just DVD Audio, but CD, SACD, DTS, etc.) are separate, as are theatrical reviews. |
